We are seeking a motivated External ICT Sales Consultant to join our team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This role requires a professional with robust B2B sales experience in the IT industry, focusing on Managed IT Support Services, Microsoft Solutions, and Sophos Security products. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving sales, broadening our customer base, and meeting ambitious sales objectives in a competitive market.
Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) certification is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of B2B sales experience in the IT industry.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport are required.
- Required to maintain current vendor certifications to ensure expertise in marketed products.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans, with exemplary presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic sales plans and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Experience selling a range of products including Microsoft Voice on Teams, Managed Endpoint Support Solutions, Virtual Servers, Fibre Connections, Backup Solutions, Microsoft 365 Licenses, and Microsoft Security Products.
- Knowledge of Sophos security products, including Firewalls and Endpoint Protection.
- Self-motivated and sales-driven, capable of working effectively under pressure in both remote and in-office settings.
Core Responsibilities
- Promote and sell a diverse range of IT solutions, including Managed IT Support Services, Microsoft Cloud and Security solutions, and Sophos Security products.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets while expanding the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct lead generation, sales presentations, and close deals, using both in-person and remote selling techniques.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, product innovations, and competitor activities to effectively position our solutions in the marketplace.

Core Responsibilities

- Deliver persuasive presentations tailored to client needs, both virtually and in written form, utilizing platforms such as Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.

Compensation Package

About the Job:
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce and promote our Managed IT support services and cloud solutions.
- Identify potential sales opportunities by understanding the client’s IT infrastructure needs and challenges.
- Effectively communicate the benefits and features of our services and solutions, focusing on Microsoft products.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through consistent follow-up and relationship building.
- Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calls and interactions in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for lead generation and conversion.
- Provide feedback on market trends and client needs to help refine our services and sales approach.
- Proven experience as a cold caller or telemarketer, specifically in Managed IT support services and cloud solutions.
- Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficient in using CRM systems and other sales tools.
- Experience in a similar role is a must.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products is beneficial but not required.
- Previous experience in a B2B sales environment.
